As part of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture,” declared in Azerbaijan by a relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, a conference titled “Preservation of Historical and Religious Monuments: Challenges and Prospects” is being held in Baku. The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.
The conference is attended by heads of relevant government institutions, scholars, experts in the field, religious figures, and members of the public.
The conference began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a video presentation about mosques that have been renovated as part of the state’s care for religious monuments.
