During the summer of 2026, children from the Sumgait Jewish Religious Community took part in a summer day camp filled with joy, new knowledge, friendship, and memorable experiences.
As part of the “JSummer Universal – My Jewish Summer 2026” day camp, the children participated in an engaging educational and recreational program, learning about Jewish traditions and the laws of Halacha.
Under the “Island Journey” program, the children took part in games, competitions, and creative activities. Participants who demonstrated particular enthusiasm and knowledge were recognized with various gifts.
One of the highlights of the camp was a trip to the Sky Park entertainment center in Baku. The day brought the children excitement, joy, and wonderful memories that they will remember for years to come.
Following the camp, parents shared their heartfelt impressions. They noted that the experience became a source of joy not only for the children but also for their families.
Parents particularly praised the warm family atmosphere, rich program, engaging activities, introduction to Jewish traditions, and the individual attention and care given to every child.
In their feedback, parents expressed their appreciation to Rabbi Menachem Mendel, Ahuva Leichter, Liana, Diana, Ulduz, and the entire team of the Sumgait Synagogue. They emphasized that the team’s care, patience, dedication, and hard work made each day a joyful experience filled with Torah, family values, and lasting memories.
Some parents shared that during the camp they themselves felt as though they had returned to their childhood, while the Sumgait Synagogue became a second home for their families, filled with love, care, and prayer.
The Sumgait Jewish Religious Community expresses its deep gratitude to Community Head Yevgeniy Anatolyevich Brenneysen for his continued support of the project.
Special appreciation is also extended to Rabbi Dovid Mondshine, General Director of The Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS, for his support of the “JSummer Universal – My Jewish Summer 2026” day camp project.
Thanks to this support and the efforts of everyone involved, the children were able to enjoy an engaging, educational, and unforgettable summer experience.
The heartfelt feedback from parents is one of the clearest signs that the camp made a lasting impression on both the children and their families.
May the Almighty bless everyone who contributed to this wonderful project with health, joy, blessing, and success in their good deeds.
