Yom Kippur: A Time for Prayer, Remembrance and Spiritual Renewal

Dear friends,

Today, we observe Yom Kippur, the holiest and most special day of the Jewish year.

It is a day when every Jew strives, as much as possible, to set aside daily activities, observe the fast and spend at least part of the services in the synagogue.

Even if you rarely visit the synagogue, are unfamiliar with the order of prayers or cannot read Hebrew, we warmly invite you to join us and experience this special day. We have prayer books with Russian translations, allowing everyone to follow the prayers and understand their meaning.

A special place on this day is given to the Yizkor prayer, which commemorates our deceased parents, relatives and loved ones. It is a deeply meaningful and moving moment during Yom Kippur, when we remember those who are no longer with us and pray in their memory.

If you have lost a parent or a loved one, we kindly ask you to make a special effort to attend the Yizkor prayer on Monday at 12:00 PM, to honor their memory and pray for their souls together with the community.

We look forward to welcoming each and every one of you to the synagogue.
